Danish firm Jakobsen Huse is specializing in building homes for the modern family that live up to today's standards in health, sustainability, comfort, appearance and low-maintenance. This private home in Ryomgård is owned by an architect who designed the house himself. He chose a combination of natural slate and Kebony Character wood for the exterior design in order to give it a distinct yet contemporary look.
The home was built including the fully sustainable Jakobsen huse package consisting of natural building materials, rainwater collection used for rinse in toilets and washing machines, an optimized and healthy indoor climate, ventilation windows, wood fiber insulation and has received the best Danish energy brand A2020. The house was built only within in 25 weeks from start to finish.
